Excavating Dinosaurs

I found this blog post on pinterest and decided to try it out with my boys. The mom took a bunch of dinosaurs and froze them into a block of ice and then her boys used tools and water to excavate them from the ice. Shepard and Fisher (Shepard mainly) had alot of fun with this. If I had thought about it ahead of time, I would have set the ice out for a little while before letting the boys start on it. Shepard was a bit frustrated that the tools weren't working. We switched to water pretty quickly. After they got all the dinosaurs out we filled up the pools and had some water fun!
